Superman Sketch

This is a redo originally done by Alex Ross from the Kingdom Come series he did.

*This is not an original piece of artwork. I created it while looking at the original piece done by another artist. I absolutely did NOT trace or copy or anything like that, it is ALL freehand. I did not start out with a trace outline to get the size and position or whatnot, again, all freehand and me guessing the proportions and such as I go. I just start with a cool image that I see and look out, a blank piece of paper, and either a pencil or a pen.

If it is in pen it was also done freehand as I have explained above. Using pens and drawing like this was more of a challenge to me as I could not make a mistake essentially, otherwise it could ruin the drawing. Even more so towards the end of it, i.e. if I made a mistake after 3/4th of the image is completed is very frustrating but serves as a lesson. Also, if I made a mistake using a pen, I would attempt to change the picture so that I could cover it up or fit it in without distracting from the image as a whole.
